do they attempt to find out what the peoples views are,,
and if they concure,do they shape there policey's to suit
or because there are only two/three party's that have any chance of winning they make it up as they go along.
I as im sure you have never been asked what we would like
the manifesto to contain, maybe we should all join the labour/ conservative party's and vote this lot off unless they represent
the peoples views, I would be very suppriesed if the people whould not ask for at least a vote on staying in europe

A new site, myverdict.net, has been set up to find out exactly what the majority of people think, on all issues, from local to international level. It covers over 25,000 communities in all 244 inhabited countries. You can ask questions, post arguments, vote and even change your vote if the arguments persuade.
In the UK, MPs have been asked to give their opinion on issues where they could reasonably be expected to give one. The first MP to register, Douglas Carswell, has already expressed an opinion on a Human Rights question.
There is an ongoing vote on the question of Britain's membership of the EU.
The aim of the site is to let the legislators know the majority opinion of their constituents, thus enabling them to better represent those constituents rather than follow a party line.
The site has the potential to enhance democracies worldwide.

The parties do have consultative procedures to engage their members in the discussion on their election manifestos, but ultimately this only drives the broad direction of party policy. Political reality has to be injected before a manifesto can be treated with any credibility.

Neither party draws up their platform by listening to the people first, if they did that, then our government might still be for the American People, and by the American People.

The Platforms are drawn up by Partisan Activists and the Party Leaders.
