what is the word for when you deliberately misspell a word for effect (comic or otherwise)?

I'm curious about this after my barrista and I were talking about this today.

NB I am not talking about spoonerisms.

Thanks for the thought Richmondgirl ... I considered a malaprop too, but I'm not sure it fits. any ohter thoughts? you seem to be a student of grammar too =- )

A malaprop (although that might be just verbally)

for an effect (like bang, or boom) is a onomatopoeia
