He needs to take lessons from Richard Daley. He offered special loans and money from Chicago's coffers for a 20 million Gay Community building in Chicago. Now THATS how to get votes.

Actually this might help Edwards in the eyes of many shed his metro sexual image. Not necessarily bad news for a guy who is pictured well...lets just say as a little wimpish.

Seriously, don't you find stuff like this amusing? I certainly do. It could very well be that Edwards sent his wife out of fear of what might happen if he led that parade and heaven forbid, I'm certain that a few hairs would end up being out of place as well.

the biggest misnomer about these parades is that they promote gay civil rights. i think its shameful and tasteless when politicians associate themselves with public orgies - and that's exactly what the gay "pride" parades are.
unless you can recall a time when marting luther king trotted around birmingham in crotchless underwear performing oral-sex, these parades are orgies, and nothing for anyone to be "proud" of. edwards should be ashamed of himself
