Depends who you ask...
Some people say the bible is not literally accurate - that the gargen of eden is a metaphor, and never actually existed, that humans descended from ape-like ancestors (after millions of years of evolution to get even that far, via amphibians and fish).
Other people say that dinosaur skeletons were put there by the devil to tempt people into doubting the literal truth of the bible, and that the earth is only 6000 years old.
Me? I'm one of the former.
All scientific evidence points to evolution. Dinosaurs and man never co-existed. We evolved about 150,000 years ago.
Dinosaurs evolved 200 million years ago, and became extinct 65 million years ago.

well the Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek at least those are the papers that they have and claim that the Bible is. Hebrew the Old Testament , Greek and Aramaic the New Testament. And the King James Version is a translation of those languages and those papers. The NIV version of the Bible is translated from latin.
ok that was just incase u thought maybe the bible u were reading had different words in it then the first Bibles people had.
i think that yes dinosaurs and people existed the same time, i think the Bible story of Noahs Arc makes a lot of sense because lots of animals would have died since only 2 of each kind were allowed on the boat, and
fossils are bones if u die and someone buries u without a box u will turn into dust. this is because little bacteria would eat ur bones
but when God made it rain 40 days he said all the life on the planet that wasn't in the arc would die. so therefore allowing dinosaurs to die and fall into muddy ground, it was raining and they got stuck in the mud and stuff before the arc landed releasing 2 of every creature including the bacteria that would eat their bones. so therefore we end up with fossils.
then i dunno i guess dinos went extinct after that, it doesnt take any kind of disaster for a animal to become extinct thats why we have animals on the endangered species list because they can go extinct anytime.

The Bible does not say God created the world and all living things in 7 days
It is the writings of Moses describing the things God told him
on the first day the second day etc
On the seventh day God did not speak to Moses
It is similar to taking notes in college
on the first day I learned how to determine the length of the third side of a triangle if I know the length of 2 sides and the angle that joins them
on the second day I learned how to prove that SAS is a valid method of determing the length of the third side
it doesnt mean the author of the theorum created his proof in 2 days

You must be subscribing to "The Flintstones Co-existed with the Dinosaurs Theory". Let me inform you, this so-called Theory has been debunked. It has been shown to be complete hogwash. It is no wonder you are very confused. Don't believe it! It is just a cartoon! Also, I have never seen the Bible in a Flintstones cartoon, so I don't know what that has to do with your question.

Bible's not inaccurate...they just didn't have the concept of
"billions of years". So instead, they used the word...
"day".
The Jewsh word "yom" must have been used to write the Bible. Yom means day, but it can also mean "extended period", or "age". No way the world was made in 7 days. People misinterpret stuff.

It is very confusing! Especially when you factor in that in the Bible it states that a day in Heaven is 2000 yrs on Earth!?
Something or some body is wrong! Problem is WHO!?
LMBO I got it !!!!! Who ever wrote that in the Bible was having a really bad day and left out some zeros !!!
Should have been... A day in Heaven is 2 billion yrs. on Earth.
Wouldn't it be a hoot if a "typo" was the cause of all of this confusion?

well if everything coexisted then that would be a major problem for the eco system hence no humans taking over the world, hence no factories, hence no clever little people with clever little ideas who are clever, hence no cheese balls or doritos, hence no me hence if that were the case why the hell am i here typing this bloody unhelpfull message. hence it's probally inacurate or stuffed up big time. hence i don't believe in the events only the teachings which help us live together.

The bible was written by men who thought they had all the answers, we know from the fossil record that dinosaurs existed. Do you remember any mention of dinosaurs being led onto the Ark.

If you are truly interested in this, I would recommend you look to web pages such as http://www.drdino.com and http://www.answersingenesis.org/
These pages give their side of the discussion. Both sides have good, science based explanations of how we got here. Neither side has an indisputable claim because there were no observers present at the beginning.
