The answers depends on your personal taste and qualification- method. If you like rap you may pick MC Hammar, for he was a good dancer to some people. If you like pop, rock and choreographic synchronization (a singer and background dancers all doing the same dance moves) you may pick Michael Jackson. If you are not a fan of rock and pop but still like choreographic synchronization then maybe Gene Kelly. I am not into ballet so someone into it may pick something else. I am not into nasty dancing but someone into it may think of prince and Madonna. I am more into stuff from the 1960's to present so Fred Astaire does not come to my mind like it would other.
A better way to phrase the question may be: "Regardless of music genre and period, who has the best synchronized choreography music videos?" Anyone who does not say Michael Jackson in my opinion needs some sand thrown in his/her eye. LOL!

Best dancer has to be run off between Michael Flatley and Lionel Blair. Michael Flatley is faster but he only moves his legs whereas Lionel Blair is slower but he moves his arms as well . Overall Lionel is probably better value for money and he is more orange.

Yeah, he is without doubt the best. Others to follow like Usher and JT are amazing also, but they are clearly inspired by MJ. He's like the pioneer of dance.

hrithik is simply SUPERB :-) not only as a dancer but even as an actor.
