Sunbathing isn't always harmful, it's the lack of awareness that gets people in trouble. If you don't properly protect yourself from the harmful rays from the sun, you could get anything from a minor burn to skin cancer.

Yes. if you inteend to be out in the sun for hours i suggest you get sunscreen that protects both uva and uvb water and sweat resistant not proof! 30-50 is the best! I have to know a lot about this because i have extremely white skin and i take pills that cause my skin to be a hazard in the sun. so i take sun protection seriously but i always have because the sun could effect you no matter what you do.

Well, anything is harmful when abused. Albino people (pale white skinned people) might even sear with pain when exposed to the sun for too long. Just a good 1-2 hours of basking in the sun will give you a boost of vitamins in your body but not enough to give you skin cancer. Enjoy!
Hope it helped...! ^^

well... we need vitamin d from sunlight, and about 15-30 minutes a day should be good. however, you ought to beware of harmful uva and uvb rays from the sun, and use suitable sunblock. there are specific ingredients to look out for.
