I have regular XP right now, if I download it will I lose everything?or just gain programs like powerpoint?

Anyway to your question though, backup all your files before you overwrite them, the best thing to do is as follows:
Click the Start button
Go to Performance and Maintenance
Click on System Restore
And create a Restore point
So if you download the new program, and something didn't go your way, you can just do a System Restore on your computer the same way you make a restore point

office xp is just programs like word , excel etc...
i have the disc when i installed it just adds these programs
to ur xp not delete it
i dont know if a download will be the same
