Usually the air and oil filters are replaced, spark plugs if neccessary and if the oil needs to be changed they will do that too. They will also check other parts like the distributor cap etc.

depends on the car if its a petrol engine usually the oil, oil filter, spark plugs and air filter are changed, bearings are greased, tyre pressures checked and adjusted as needed, brakes are checked, lights checked and bulbs / fuses replaced as needed. Diesel cars are pretty much the same list except spark plugs arent changed as a diesel car doesnt have them, and the diesel filter is flushed out. little things like windscreen wiper rubbers are checked as well. Ask your garage for a full list of what they check / change on a service. The longer the list the better but the more youre likely to pay

They change the oil & filter - change the air filter- and they used to change the spark plugs - but now they just give your engine a clean up with an oily rag - then they take it for a spin, Service the Girlfriend/Wife in the back - then they go for their messages in it .. then steal a gallon of petrol from your tank.. thats about it.

as a minimum oil and filter change, after that it depends on the service interval, maybe plugs and filters and a good check around

Everything at one point or another assuming it lasts long enough. Nothing if you wreck it right away. How about make model year mileage or some kind of direct question?
