Why is there a induced e.m.f. and induced current when a conductor is moving through a magnetic field?

These are natural laws discovered by Faraday. It is like why does light move in a straight line or why does sound travel through material only. Yes there are answers, but all of them will finally point to the fact that we don't know, we just know that it happens and that is why they are called laws, you can't reason them, just learn them.
