(Doctor Q, pi * r^2 gives an area not a volume. I'm sure that must have been a typo.)

Generally, to calculate the volume of a cylinder the formula is pi * r^2 * h

First we do pi*r^2 to find volume of the circle.....

pi * 2^2 = pi x 4 = 12.5664 sq metres....

Now we just multiply by the depth.....

12.5664 * 1.5 = 18.8496 cubic metres of water

A = pi x r squared = pi x 4.
V = pi x 4 x 1.5
V = 6 pi cubic metres.
V = 18.85 metres cubed.

pi x r^2 x h
=pi x (2)^2 x 1.5
=pi x 4 x 1.5
=pi x 6

taking pi as 3.141 = 18.846 =18.8m^3

taking pi as 22/7 = 18.857 = 18.8m^3

answer = 18.8m cubed
