Being a Ranger fan outside of the US, I think we are just looking for some wins, and Sammy is helping us to get some. We suck so much this year, we need someone to hit some homers and boost our morale, and Sosa is doing it well, especially since Texeira and Blalock are injured.

Once again, Sosa never tested positive for the use of steroids. The corked bat is another issue and fans should be disappointed over that event. Sammy still has a lot of fans and those fans were happy to see him reach that milestone. I am not a Cubs, Rangers, or Sosa fan but I say let his fans have their day, I have no problem at all with their enthusiasm.

I remember all you fans cheering for Sammy and McGwire what a joke!!! They were high fiving each other after the game and laughing at all you fans!!! Wake up and smell the coffee! One fan had the audacity to say Ortiz has never been on Steroids!! Are you frickin kiddin me?!?! Have you looked at the 17 and 18 year olds that come out of Mexico, Dominican Republic and other Southern countries?!?!? The majority of them are lucky to weigh a buck twenty!! how many US baseball payers have tested positive on steriods? a lot. Sammy Sosa and maguire had given to this sport most of the fame in the past 10 years when the baseball was in the shadows, we need to celebrate those kind of players cause when sammy hits the 600th homerun everybody was talking about baseball, when bonds hits a home run we talk about baseball, so sammy is great homerun player, and fans love that. they buy tickets to see sammy nad good for the team, i now about texas rangers cause of sammy, so let him be.. he gives so much to this sport, and what he gets? i want him at the hall of fame, he deserves that one...

I thought it was a great thing, only 5 or 6 players have gotten to that mark, steroids or not you still have to hit the ball.Heres a clue everybody was on the juice in the 90's,well 90% anyway.

It takes a truly principled, or deranged, mind to dog and boo a home team player for hitting a home run, or for any positive act on the field. And does it really make any difference?
To err is human, to forgive divine. Some fans are capable of reaching deep; many others either don't know or don't much care.

He's only being cheered b/c he's helping the Rangers right now. I'm sure it would be the same no matter what team he would be on.
