I bought a used Sonicwall TZ 170 wireless router (only received the router and power adapter) and I can't use it because it says the password is secured. I tried resetting it using the reset button but the password is still secured. How do I change the password or just make it unsecured?

Check online and see if you can download the manual from Sonicwall's website. It probably has a default password.

It's also possible the reset button isn't working properly, but first check the documentation.

after resetting using the reset button, is it true that the password is still secured, but it changed to the factory standard password. I think you should log in to that product website and get that standard password or get the consumer service phone number to ask about the password...

First, you need to know the password. It should be the default password and you should be able to find this default password in the installation manual or user manual.
