Even though all birth control pills, etc have the potential to cause weight gain (which is mostly water and the average weight gain is only about 5-10 lbs) I actually lost nearly 10 lbs while taking Yasmin for 6 months. I had to stop it because of problems adjusting to it at the beginning and also problems toward the end of the 6 months I was on it. It had to do with the way I was taking it.

I always gained weight too. I quit taking birth control because it isn't natural! It's messing with your hormones and I wonder how many cases of breast cancer and ovarian cancer are related to women taking birth control. Use barrier methods and find a guy that will support you in this. It isn't worth the risk of blood clots, early menopause, WEIGHT GAIN, and tons of other problems that develop from using it.

i'm a guy and allow me permit you be attentive to, i'm not eschewing delivery administration(s) and "taking the prospect" with a woman until eventually there's a marriage ring on her finger. i've got been in love some cases in my existence, had some long relationships and guess what? i did not marry those females. i'm so happy that we used delivery administration (each so often 2) and that we did not have young little ones. My rule: No ring, no young little ones, no exceptions.

it's actually fooling your body into thinking your pregnant, so it's natural to gain weight...
barrier methods are actually inferior to intra uturine devices. (IUD's) If I were you I would look into getting one of those. I think those are the best methods of birth control short of permanent sterilization. They are good for 5-10 years, you don't have to remember to take a pill, and they don't mess with your hormones AND it's reversable, meaning they can take it out and you can have kids.

research shows no correlation between birth control and weight gain. in theory increased estrogen could cause water retention but the endocrine system conpensates and quickly adjusts to maintain homeostasis.
