if born blind, what do blind people dream about?

I'm sure they do. It is the subconscious that makes us dream. They may not see the forms that you see in your dreams but they have feelings of happiness and anxiety and sadness and love or hate----emotions that would manifest themselves in dreams.

if you ask a blind person what red or blue looks like, they suely in their mind do have an idea of what the color looks like even if they have been blind since birth. If you ask them to describe the sky or the grass, well they have a feeling about that too, they have an imagination. Since dreams and fantasies come from imagination, I suspect that they do dream and even have fantasies. When a person who has sight dreams they dream about what they thought about all day, well so do blind people.

Dreams don't have to be triggered by or based upon *visual* things. They could be about feelings, noises, smells, anything!

They dream the same as you. They don't have visuals, but they have sound, smells, touch, taste, balance (like falling dreams), same as you.
