There is in the west a generally held view that the best form of government is Democratic, i.e. one person one vote. Frankly I agree with Napoleon who said 'Democracy is the handmaiden of tyranny'. Said it to me in the pub he did.
The problem is, most people who vote have not got a clue what they are voting for or against. Take the Euro, in the UK people do not vote based on the Economic or social issues pertaining to the currency, they vote according to their favourite Party and what they say.
There are people in the Uk and in the USA who cannot spell 'vote' yet they get to have an influence in how my taxes are spent! Why.
Poor people make me sick... They get to vote on how my taxes are spent and yet they pay no taxes.
It would be much better if people who actually contribute to the economy get to vote.
What do you think?

On the point about Poor people paying VAT and tax on goods. Yes, they do, but only with money handed out to them so the net effect you twits is that they do not pay ANY Tax.
As for Voting being a God given right. First God does not exists and second I think you need to read a bit of histroy... It was a right won by the poor fighting the landed classes. If you people are going to argue this issue at least try to be a little more imaginitive. Confining yourselves to calling me Sad, wierd, sick and various other equally silly names reveals more of you than it does of me.
God (or however) save us from the great unwashed.... who know their rights and bugger all esle!
I have to nip out now in my Merc to get some shopping... I know there will be poor people in the shop and I find that offensive.... They should have their own special shops.... Like Lidl or Aldi.
Peace dudes and dudesses!

Everyone must have the vote, because although a benevolent dictatorship is much better than a democracy, it always results in a tyranny.
It is sometimes hard to give the vote to some people. China has this argument, that their people are not politically mature enough for the vote. They may or may not be right, but it is not their decision to make.
I wouldn't discriminate along class lines but would be tempted to use an IQ test if I thought I had all the answers to life. But I don't. Though it really annoys me when people vote for the BNP, I mean these people have been to school and everything.
So maybe it's society's responsibility to educate everyone to a certain standard? But what is or isn't brainwashing?
Oh, I give up my head hurts.

Some poor people would say that well to do people make them sick as well. They might say that since you have it so good they should have the vote and not you. Because you are more intelligent or have more money doesn't give you any more rights than the person who has less money or education. If you want to live in a country where the poor have no rights then move there. Most people rich or poor would like that.

Poor people pay taxes too.
Your the kind of person the UK does not need, your attitude stinks and so does your beer swilling big mouth!
Go back down the pub and pour some more beer down into that fat beer belly of yours.
Oh and about the euro, take a trip around Europe and ask normal everyday people on how the Euro has affected them financially compared to their original currency.
If you can bare talking to people with less money than you that is.
Barffff!

Voting is an extension of every individual's right to shape his own government. Voting isn't contingent on intelligence any more than voting is contingent on holding certain views. And being poor doesn't determine stupidity any more than wealth determines intelligence.
When people like you decide that others should be controlled or deprived of a right in some way, they almost always envision themselves in the first group. In other words, I'm sure you see yourself as the prime of example of a person who should be allowed to vote, right? If you were all that smart, you wouldn't connect poverty to a lack of intelligence. They're not equivalent states of existence. You're nothing more than irrational bigot.

After reading your question, perhaps the question should be asked is, 'Should rich people be allowed to vote?'
Britain has one of the lowest higher tax rates in the EU.
The 10p tax rate for the lowest earners was abolished in the last budget, so they are now paying 20% tax. Some of the highest earners are paying no tax at all.
Add to this the attacks on benefits and social housing and your argument is starting to fall apart at the seams. And didn't Napoleon die in the 19th Century?

In Matthew 19:21 Jesus told a rich young man, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." Although Jesus required the man to perform a specific act, the emphasis is on his condition, rather than his performance. The act of giving away all of his wealth would not make him perfect, because perfection is not a result of your actions. Perfection is one of God's attributes and he is the standard for perfection — "as your heavenly Father is perfect" (Mt 5:48). The rich young man's problem was his attitude, which focused on the pleasure and security he derived from his great wealth, as we can see by his response. He went away sad, because he had great wealth (Mt 19:22). His attitude not only made him imperfect, but also prevented him from becoming perfect.

TO the person who said the rich vote to enslave the poor. Yeah the 1% rich man vote will over ride the 70% poor man votes.
It's a problem in much of the world. THe poor vote to enrich themselves, by taking from the middle class. But is there a better system out there.

I can't believe you have been sittng there thinking about this question, what a pointless waste of internet space. I think you need to look at the world, there are more poor people than rich people. People vote for a better life, you think if it was just the rich people voting the poor people would have a better life .................... I THINK NOT
I think you need to go back and think of another silly question, how about " do you think war is good "
