Just for you knowledge, there was a prelude to the Dark Tower that was called "Little Sisters of Eluria" and it was in Everythings Eventual. The Talisman and its followup, Black House might be a next stop for you. In those books there are references to the Dark Tower as well. Rose Madder is an excellent read as is The Stand. That should keep you busy for a bit.

Have you read David Gemmil's Stones of power the Sipstrassi omnibus ( Ghost king,Last sword of power,Wolf in Shadow and The Last Guardian) very good books and last two similar in a lot of ways to Dark Tower.

If you want something of a similar nature the try Black House, it includes alot of similar stuff like the dark tower, breakers and the crimson king so I'm sure you will like it. I also like The Stand which is quite a hefty book so that would keep you busy for a while :-)

I loved the series! 'Everything's Eventual' has a couple of short stories that tie in with the Dark Tower series. Little Sisters of Eluria is one of them. Also, The Talisman and the Black House- by King and Straub. Those two books are actually my favorite of King's. The Black House (sequal to the talisman) is awesome.

I agree with all of the suggestions above, they are all great, especially the uncut "The Stand". However, if you would like to get away from King et. al. you may want to try "The Traveler" by John Twelve Hawks, this book is different and I really enjoyed.
Also, the second in the series is coming out this week.

I know exactly how you felt. The ending, to me, felt like a bit of a let down, but then not a let down if you know what I mean. You think, is that all then a bit later think, very clever! There are loads of books you could try - try The Stand, Insomnia, It, Bag of Bones - any of the books from this era are absolutely excellent.

If you have not already read A Song Of Ice And Fire, George R.R.Martin , then give it a go. We are all desperately waiting for book five in the series.
