10 years ago I found on the street 2 little girls and took them home to take care of them. Now they are 13 and 11.I had to name them. What do you think, are these names nice?
Emmalyn (13) (her first name seems to have been Kayla or Kala)
Dayanna (11) (her first name misses too,but Emmalyn said, when she was 3 I mean, that Dayanna's name was Lilly,Liale or something like that)

I can't keep the real names as I have already given them these names and their documents go with these names.AND I renamed them when I took them home, not now!Can you people be so stupid?

What country are you in?

I would prefer personally "Mikaiela" {Me-k'eye'-ayla} & "Kaia" for short.

or "Liliquoi" {Lil-uh-koi} with "Lili" for short.

...story does sound pretty odd though and that's being "politically correct" about it. LOL

pretty names and well..bloody good on you, need more of it in this world, is that really your question though? have you hit a wall somewhere or the girls starting to ask questions? paperwork done ok, but if the girls asking, may feel loss of identity in the circumstances, (really not your fault you beautiful person) is it possible to change their papers to include what they think their names were as a middle name maybe? help them feel whole? good luck x
p.s am curious though, why didnt you try keep their real names or as close to,in the first place?

Um. Firstly, is that legal? And secondly, I call bogus. And thirdly, Emmalyn is okay. Emma or Emily would be better. And Dayanna looks like you are saying "Dayum". Why not just keep their real names?

To me (and probably MANY other people) , that would be considered kidnapping. I know someone with the name Emmalyn and she is 13 (coincidence), she is usually called Emma, but I kind of like the name. I don't really know abut the second one, is it pronounced like Dianna?

I like their first names better but they shouldn't be changed back now.
