I'm from Nth Qld. Just fly to Cairns and then get a bus, hire car, etc. - pretty road trip and highway conditions. Accommodation can be very expensive in Port Douglas (beautiful and very popular place for the rich and famous) but make very sure you get something with airconditioning. You will need to book well in advance. Probably wont be wet as the seasons have changed but will be very hot and humid. Have a great wedding!

Do you mean Port Douglas? It is north of Cairns. You should fly to Cairns and hire a car. Take an umbrella, December is in the wet season.

You fly to Cairns, then you can hire a car, or I think you can catch a bus to Port Douglas.

You can go a jetstar store and they will give you your ticket to go to your destination, It will cost less then Qantas airlines but there maybe less flights.
