I would rather e-mail because it's much faster than snail mail.

instant gratification
no stamps
typing is way more fun than writing
no waste of paper
on the internet mostly daily anyway, so multitasking seems a good thing to do
oh, and I suck at zip codes (the pet peeve of mail carriers!!)
easier for international correspondence, hey y'all from anywhere in the world!! (I'm from California, United States)

Snail mail.
Because it ensures that someone will have a job or other wise all the mailmen will be unemployed and that would be bad for the economy.
