Whoever has the money for campaign costs can run for President ( president should always be capitalized just like Penis). Can anyone see the defects in this? I still can't believe Clinton actually weaseled his way into office and now Hilary is running? Good God forbid it.

Politics and money go hand in hand. Gov't contracts build empires these days. the rich have always ruled, at best, they don't need the money, at worst money is all they care about. If Nader and Bloomberg run, it's a coin toss. Perot helped Clinton both times, especially the first time. Perot got 20% of the vote. Bush Sr. should have gotten his second term.

Politics is sickening, but it is a curse for humanity.

Please don't act like Gore is some squeaky clean act, p37ry. I am sure he benefits more from defense income than Bush or Cheney. Gore plays environmentalists for all you're worth! He's all mining, timber extraction
and tobacco. Give me a break!

With all that the current administration has done to the economy and foreign policy, people still find time to complain about Clinton?

Hey, say what you will about the guy but I'm pretty sure his VP never participated in war profiteering.

But you're right... they're all pretty much crooks.

Someone once said that there must be a great reason to spend millions of dollars to get a job that pays a fraction of that.

Hope this helps!

What this country needs is a President who isn't a politician. Someone born and raised in the Middle Class, knows what it is like to work 40+ hours a week and live paycheck-by-paycheck, and isn't afraid to damn the media outlets and do what is best for the vast majority of Americans regardless of what the rich fat cats in Congress tells him Americans allegedly want.

Unfortunately...that will never happen. No one in the Middle Class could afford to run for President.

^ They dont get more honest than that.

Stop complaining. There are a handful of good candidates who really care about the country and the people, but they cant do this on their own. They need help, because theyre not getting millions and millions from corporations and special interest groups. So do your research, find the best candidate, and support them. Give 'em all youve got. If you just want to sit on your couch and let CNN and Fox tell you whos "worth" voting for, then you have no right to complain.
