The individual is a specific level and a qualitatively original form of being. Is it so hard to conceive of the individual as an individual social being? Now this collective aggregation can be of any nature and the individual can become so immersed that any egotistical thinking has given way to a complete altruistic form but that only means that some individuals assimilate social activity more than others but in no way denies the individual of singular identity.

I think we are all individuals who either put ourselves into groups, like joining a club or organization, or are put into classifications that form a group, like Republicans or Democrats--men 25 to 45, women 55 to 65, married--single. There is no way not to be a part of many collective groups, but there is also no way to not be an individual. You are you and you are the only one who CAN be you.
