I have my x360 connected to my router with a 2 laptops and a pc also using the wireless connection and I have not noticed any difference in the connection speed, not even when i am downloading from xbox live. However when I download stuff on the internet from any of my computers it does slow down the connection of the xbox, but only a little.

It matters what you are doing, if you are downloading from XBOX Live and watching a video on veoh, youtube, or yahoo music, yes, you are going to have some lag, only because videos take up a lot of bandwith, also, the more mbps your connection is the less lag you will get, the best thing would to get T3, but it costs more than 5 really nice houses and Rolls Royces put together (maybe not that much, but very expensive)

If you were downloading something off of XBOX Live or playing an online over Live and somebody was checking their email, there would be a pretty fast connection and some bandwith to spare, even listening to streaming music or looking at online pictures dosen't take up that much bandwith, just stay away from video media

the element of the router is precisely to share your information superhighway connection like this. My first guess is that your having an IP situation -- in step with danger your laptop and XBox are the two attempting to apply the comparable static IP address. in the different case DHCP on your router isn't set up top. Log into your router and verify they're the two getting IP addresses.

That would depend on how fast your connection is and what's being done on the pc while you're playing XBOX. If someone is just surfing and not playing games or downloading anything then it shouldn't affect your XBOX.

That's how mine is set up, but it only lags a tad when I stream videos at the same time.
