Yes, very. It will cause mankind to question the very nature of what makes humans 'special'. Our ability to reason, to communicate, to feel and to learn are all due for a comparison check if AI ever does come to be.
Further, at present we extend certain rights to animals. For an intelligence that has come to 'understand' things much as humans do, what 'rights' will we allow such a sentient being. What rights will such a thinking entity demand for itself?
If and when true AI does come, it will redefine our place in our world.

There's a limitation to human intelligence which artificial intelligence, created by human beings, cannot surpass. It's illogical.

Not possible, computers are just a bunch of chips that only know if there is electricity in this part or not.
