I have an old stick welder that looks like a barrel. It is full of oil and it has 6 posts with wing nuts on top of it. One for the ground clamp, and the other 5 are different amps. I was wondering when it was made, who made it, and how much it is worth?

Wow, that is old! I would suggest calling some antiques dealers and try to have it appraised---some people are really interested in collecting old equipment like that----maybe try a welding company, museum or tech college in your area. Or a welding forum like this one----http://www.weldingweb.com/

It sounds like one of the original Lincoln welders or possibly a Holland, circa 1930. Antique commercial equipment usually has little value, but I would suggest that you call your local science and technology museum and send them some pictures of it. They may be interested in purchasing it from you. As a worse case, you give it to them for a tax receipt to lower your taxes.

that sounds like it goes back to early 1900's probably worth quite a bit if it's in good shape.

are there any manufacturer stickers on it or logo's
