If you have other computer connected, share the cd drive and play cd on your computer via shared cd drive over the network. Alternatively, copy the cd files into your hard drive via a shared cd drive and play the files.

The simple answer is that you cannot. If the drive doesn't work, then you cannot use the drive to play CDs.
However, there is another option. Although you can share a CD drive on another computer, across a local area network, your computer isn't likely to recognize it as a CD drive from which you can play your music. However, if you have that other computer, you can always create an ISO file on that other computer, which will contain the contents of the CD you want to play. For each CD that you like to have available, you can create a separate ISO file. Today's hard drives usually have enough space where you can store many ISO files.
Okay, I hear you, what do I do with that ISO file? Easy, get yourself a copy of Alcohol 120% (or any of the other similar type programs) and create a virtual CD drive on your computer. Now, you only have to point the virtual CD drive at an ISO file, and your system instantly starts to play the "CD".
Changing CDs is as easy as dismounting one ISO file and mounting the next.

Buy a new cd drive, or have the current one fixed, also you could try buying a cheap cd player and connecting it through the microphone jack to your computer. Weird but it is a temporary fix
