I like to listen to soothing music, drink hot tea, eat good food, go to an area that is quiet and peaceful (this could be a naturey area or at home.) I just turn off the TV and sometimes my cell phone, which doesn't ring much anyway. Also, turning the lights out sometimes does the trick. I worry alot so the constant chatter in my mind keeps me less calm than I'd like to be.

I like to read celebrity gossip when I'm stirred up because it's really illrelevant, stupid, and sometimes makes my life seem very stress-free. Also thinking about things I love calm me. Think of "raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens..." :) lol

I take my hostility and channel it into something productive...or counterproductive. I guess the better term would be distracting.
