Well, Asia is pretty huge - there's a massive difference in the seasons in, say, Japan and India. And, for the parts of Asia on or around the equator, such as Brunei, there are no discernible seasons at all. So, if you want a precise answer, you're going to need to be more specific.

Central Asia + Summer = Monsoon Season.
Not necessarily a bad thing, depends how well you can handle the heat and humidity. Certainly less tourists (they call themselves travellers or backpackers but who are they kidding) around then. So its a chance to get to know the locals better. I like it that time of year. If your heading to Nepal or northern India, don't expect to see many mountains though.

in summer of 04 i went to china and i was in the east near beijing and in the south in guangzhou near hong kong as well in xian in central china. beijing was hot and humid as well as guangzhou was but xian was just a dry heat it was very pleasant in the month of july. however while in guanazhou i experienced a tsunami and man thats a lot of water!!!
if able to go in the fall it will be that little bit cooler. so go then if not make sure to bring your poncho, umbrella and rain boots!!! have fun!
