I work in a union mfg. company. If you work a 12 hour shift don't you get a second lunch break

No. No employer can override labor laws. So if you look up the law (they have to have the poster in a visible place at work) and it says you get 2 30 min breaks in a 12 hr work day then tell them you will take your break. And report them if they dont follow the law. There should be a number or address on the poster telling you who to report issues to.

It fully depends on your union contract, which can vary from location to location. Where I work at, we get one lunch break and two 15 minute breaks. We keep busy so the breaks are good for most of us except the heavy smokers.

no you need to work 16 hours but you at least get one lunch and 3 10-15 minute breaks and laws are laws dont matter if your union or not

your employer is probly following the MOU as agreed to between them and the union. Talk to your union rep
