Ok, my girl has talked of proposing to me and I love her very much. I can't say for sure if it will happen but it could, and call me old fashioned, but I want to be the guy who proposes, I'm not really into the female proposing. Since I love her, and would love to marry her, I obviously don't want to say no, but part of me says I should just so I can be the one to propose.

What do you think of this situation? Am I being too chavinist? Whats a good way out of this dilemma?

Tell her exactly what you posted. Some people have values and standards and certain things that are just important to them and this is obviously important to you. Just tell her you have old fashioned values and if she goes ahead with asking you then she shouldn't complain when you say no and nor should you feel bad if you are put in a position to say no when you have been upfront with your feelings.

I can see one way around this. Ok why don't you wait and let her propose to you and after she is done, you get down and immediately ask her?, it will be something she won't be expecting and it will be such a buzz, she'll remember it always. If you don't like the sound of this, then you'll just have to beat her to it. Cheers and good luck.

If you want to marry her, propose to her before she pops the question on you, or you'll be hearing about how she proposed to you for the rest of your life. If she's not the one, run like hell.

She doesn't want to propose, she wants the old fashioned way too...it is her way of telling you she is getting impatient...

Bake a cake and decorate it with hearts and place the ring on one of the hearts. (cake mix and icing 2.30 or less at walmart.) Make her a nice dinner add some candles and music. Dim the lights, enjoy the dinner and then offer her a slice of cake when she says yes to the cake, slice her special piece and plate it. Then bring it to her and when you get to her bend on one knee and say here is your cake although you need no sugar to make you sweet or something similar.

maybe shes hinting that its time for you to ask her so get to it before she does.take her out to a beautiful spot , have some wine and put the ring in her glass.when you see that she has noticed the ring , drop to your knee.good luck.
