If so, at what age did you get it done, and how long have you had it? Did it hurt?

I got my belly button pierced last week and I'm 15. When I got it pierced it hurt, but not a lot. It just felt like a small pinch and it was over within a few seconds. Since I've only had it for a week its not healed yet, but my piercer told me that it will probably take a couple months to heal, but I can change the ring in 3 weeks. I just have to clean it 2 times a day and so far its fine!

I HAD my belly button pierced twice. The first time, I was 16 and it was torn out after a year or so when the ring got caught on a bathing suit. The second was done when I was 18 and I had it until I was 20 but I forgot to take it out when I was pregnant and it ripped the hole. I loved having it and it didn't hurt to get it done, but it hurt so bad when they came out!

I had my belly pierced when I was 20. I had a bar in it for just under a week but the skin split and you could see the bar through it. I spoke to a friend that had just done a piercing course he told me that the most likely reason for it splitting was that when they clamped it there must have been a fold of skin so it was weakened then all it would have taken was stretching too much to split it ;)

I had it done in my 20's can't remember exactly how old. I got it done because my little sister wanted it and she wanted to see if it hurts (and it did.) I only kept it about a year, but it's not so painful. If you're ok to get a needle at the doctor's you should be ok.

No. Needles don't bother me. It just doesn't seem to be important enough to waste my money on. You can bet it will hurt though if you are contemplating getting it done to yourself. Probably a little more than getting your ears pierced.

No but I saw it being done on a friend. It is a huge needle and she did flinch, but did not cry.
