My 13 y/o daughter still wets her bed, I tried getting her into 'Goodnites'.. she cried and everything but she slept with them, they leaked. She's small (~5'0"), so I bought some of those new size 7 baby diapers. Of course she cried for hours because she didn't wanna wear them, but I finally got her on a diaper. It worked GREAT, not one drop on the sheets even though the diaper was FULL.
Now she refuses to wear them again, and I'm really tired of it, I don't know what to do.

Well, at least tonight I had to actually put the diaper on her.
I'll make a doctor appointment though.

If she's 13 and still having this problem she needs to go see the doctor to see what is causing this. Most children have outgrown this behavior by her age. There could be medical problems that need addressed.

I would get her in the diaper tell her the diaper doesn't come off unless you take it off for school or to be changed into another one. Maybe get some duct tape and put around the diaper so it doesn't come off. Tell her your house your rules and that's the way it is while she lives there and if she doesn't like it Too Bad but you aren't letting your mattress get any more ruined than it is already is !!!

Well other than the normal concerns about something physical being wrong with her and if that has been determined to not be an issue then it's time to take other measures.
One, put a plastic sheet under her regular sheet in case she wets and whatever she is or isn't wearing leaks all over the bed, you want to protect the mattress. Although a mattress that smells like stale pee might be a good thing to help make her stop wetting. When her friends come over and the pee smell of her bed is filling the room and her friends start to tease her, she will probably stop.
Anyway, back to her wearing diapers. Who is the parent and who is the child? It's up to you to make sure you take whatever measures are needed to protect her and her bed.
She needs to be taught that she should listen to you and you need to make sure that she does. You just need to explain to her that she would feel much better waking up in a warm wet diaper than a cold wet bed. Not to mention how the bed will smell if she continues to keep on wetting it. Tell her when she wakes up 7 mornings in a row with a dry diaper then she can stop wearing them but that if she starts to wet again then she will start wearing the diapers again.
Good Luck.

Hey!
Yes, I think she might have a problem. Go see a doctor but don't punish her.
My little brother has these things called a kylee? and a plastic (soz, don't know how to spell it) and the plastic is basically a plastic thing which you put on top of the sheet but under her with the kylee? on top. Its stops the wet from going through to the blanket and you can just wash it everyday. Buy 2 or 3 so that it can be dry ready for the next day.
Hope I helped!

First of all, take her to the doctor for an exam to rule out any infection or other problems. Instead of diapers, buy her the poise pads. They are like period pads except they are made to absorb urine. Buy chucks or some other kind of padding for her bed. These can be bought in a drug store or a medical supply store. Embarrassment doesn't work and can scar her emotionally. Be supportive and don't make a big deal out of it. Ask her if its a problem she would like to talk with you about. She will outgrow it. It's a more common problem than people realize.

If she wont wear the diaper, spank her butt 13 times, and then place the diaper on her. the heat of her spanking inside the diaper will make her think twice about resisting putting on a Diaper again...Spank her each time she refuses to wear her diapers.

that should be very humiliating for her. I was personally forced into diapers too. I was 11, I cried and refused, but my mom just basically made me lay down and she put a baby diaper on me. I'm still wearing diapers to bed though, and I'm 16.
Helps stay dry every morning.

Lady, I don't think that it's normal for your daughter at 13 to be wetting the bed. I suggest that you go to the doctor to see if she has any bladder problems or something. In the meantime, I don't think she should be wearing diapers. It just doesn't seem right. Try doing a little research or look for other methods.

Isnt there some kind of medicine that can be prescribed to older kids who wet their beds? I'm pretty sure there is. I think trying to force your THIRTEEN year old into wearing diapers is really awful of you. Buy the plastic sheets and get an alarm she can set for 2 or 3 AM and it will remind her to get up and go to the restroom. Be creative!! dont force her to wear infant diapers!!!!!!!!!!!

diapers are a bit shaming at that age. food allergies, hypoglycemia, undiagnosed bladder infections, over tiredness and stress can all cause bedwetting. change some habits : no liquids 3 hrs. before bed. they also have natural things she can take to help the problem. maybe try setting an alarm clock half way thru the night and tell her she needs to get up and go. good luck with that one.
