I've been a registered Indpendant for as long as I've been able to vote. I pride myself on basing my votes on the issues/candidates so that they most closely align with the Constitution.....so I guess speaking of my principals I would be Constitutionalist. However, I have registered Republican this year to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. Not because I am Republican [blech-and the same goes double for my feelings on Democrats], but because Ron Paul is the most Constitutionally based candidate running for office at this time.
I don't know what that makes me officially, but I don't really care. I vote based on my beliefs not based on party rhetoric.

I am an independent. I find that with every election what I feel is needed can change. I want the option to vote for the best candidate regardless of party.

both parties have moved sooo far away from what i believe (and are willing to court ANY voting group) that i became an independent.
someone should bring back roosevelt's "bullmoose" party as a third option...
