Purpose, realize we lack it, or rather the choice of purpose has became an individual thing. Which dispite what pop-culture would like you to believe, is an extremely bad thing. Basic common sense dectates that morality is something that is based not on one individuals purpose, but the purpose of two or more individuals. What this all basicaly means is that humans are not the best things for picking out their own individual purpose, we need a society to help do some of the well leg work for us. Ether way, for the last 2 to 3 hunderd years something came into conflict that has never be inconflict before. Namly the little debate between fact and faith. Thats right science and religion. See at some point we have to have both in our lives, we have to allow them to move together to develop a brand new ideology. Unfornatunely our faith doesn't allow for this, but our science does. These two things are hugely in debate of each other, of course not in the way we believe. As faith can be prove to be fact, but fact can never be faith, doesn't work that way. Also Faith is unquestionable, while fact is based on what can't be proven wrong. Ether way they draw two very conflicting world views within the individual. This puts us in more conflict with ourselves and our purposes in life, then ever before. Sad part is that science doesn't disprove faith, nor does faith truely disprove science. But no one person can pick on side or another without causing unresolveable conflict, but we want to believe we can. This is tearing everything apart at an individual level. Its a catch-22 that well lead to a downward spirlal of self-destrotrution. Because one thing an individual can't tolerante for long, is suffering alone.
