Even if you did peel it back, that cast in edge on the top was irreplacable... Kind of brings a tear to your eye doesn't it?

Oh I know all about the paper peeling. It creates huge issues with my kids, too. They do much better with colored pencils, they refer to peeled crayons as "broken"

Never liked them when the point was worn away. Peeled crayons weren't worth much to me.

No I must say that it was never the same. Someone should invent an all staying crayon point. My childhood would have been happier.

great question....
no it was never the same.. still to this day when I color with my kids .. there is nothing like a brand new box of crayons, after they wear down.. there is nothing that will make them color as good and sharp again.

I know! I just hated it when I was younger. It was really hard to color inside the lines with that blunt edge. I can't color without that nice little point the nice people at Crayola make for you.
