This can be one of the things that gets Bush and Cheney impeached and removed from office. This is in violation of the Constitution. The laws apply to all elected officials.

Ryan: " IF" it was? This is an exectutive order. The V P had nothing to do with its inception.

Becks Bear: Clinton, Clinton, Clinton, Clinton, Clinton, Clinton and more Clinton. Clinton happened years ago, get over it. If you are going to attempt to defend the VP, try not to come up with such a lame rejoinder. Its really laughable that Bush/Cheney supporters think that any reference to Clinton, ( whom I would vote for again), has any bearing as a point of arguement in support of Cheney. Where is the logic ?
I suppose they don't get out much. Clinton may be a red flag to you, but its lost on me as an insult or rebuttal. Clinton, Clinton, Clinton...Its cute but not an effective response. I am sorry Clinton came on the scene and ruined the end of the 20th Centruy as well as the beginning of the 21st Century for you. As a topic of response, is does not answer my question. Clinton, Clinton. Funny.

According to this Constitutional law professor, Americans are witnessing the changing of the country in ways that may never go back to what has been the law of the land for over 200 years.

Bush has used crooks and cronies in his administration because the law means nothing to him. This Congress needs to stop trying to pander to this adminstration in hopes of gaining favors and do the job they were elected to do before it is too late. They are just going to sit by and let all this pass onto the next president and then we'll be stuck with this type of crooked government forever.

This is not the first time that this administration has tried to circumvent the Constitution and the law... what's new? They don't seem to get penalized so why should they not push the envelope again?

Its sickening but no one seems to care to stop these people.

BTW, RYAN has no idea what he is talking about. The VP did not organize or start the National Archives... It was established in 1949 and was made an independent commission in the 80's... It was set up to insure that files and records would not be destroyed on purpose (or by accident). The VP and the president do not preside over the National Archives, it is independent.

Well it did not get the Clinton's into trouble when they made tons of documents disappear, so now you are saying, that now that some one else might have did this, that it is wrong now. The law should apply to all elected officials, but ask the Clinton's, they will tell you, it should apply to everyone except them. Oh!! Bill did get impeached, but not for the disappearance of these documents, which he should have been impeached for along with his get the documents and there will be no evidence crooked lawyer wife. Figures.

If the agency was specifically created by the Vice President, they can abolish it as they feel like.

Any agency that is a creation of a branch of government can be abolished by that branch of government. For example, the Council of the District of Columbia is a creation of Congress so Congress could theoretically suspend self-government in DC with a simple majority vote.

What laws? If they have secret documents, they need to remain secret. It is nobody elses business. They do not need anybody overseeing anything they do. Classified information needs to be protected, not waved in front of news reporters.

Can you name this agency?

Or are you just another person so blinded by partisan prejudice that you unthinkingly believe anything?
