The one thing that I hated growing up was no phone calls after 9 pm.
The first thing I did when establishing my own house with my own rules was, call anytime! My son is usually on the phone with friends until 11 pm, and I love it. At least he's home and safe.

In my parent's culture it's traditional for children to stay with their parents until they marry. I chose to leave and live on my own because I wanted my freedom to live mylife on my terms.
There was a backlash because they thought that I wanted the freedom to be sleep around . I'm actually dating less because I'm more cautious because I live alone.
Was it worth it? The jury's still out on that one. It's expensive to live on your own. I don't have financial security, and have been unable to do alot of things that would help my social life and career. But I also have my freedom and peace of mind.
