i was just wondering if children have a better chance of surviving if they fall into an empty pool or a filled up pool..i know if the pool is empty the wellbeing of the child depends on how deep the pool is,.and if the pool is filled up the wellbeing of the child depends on how long he/she stays underwater... but after all i would like everybody's opinion..im only 16 but for some reason i find this question quite debatable...so pls hlp

A good fence with a latch at the top (out of reach of toddlers & young children) is the afest thing for a family with young children. In California the law states that a pool must be enclosed by a 6 foot fence.

neither if it falls into a filled pool in can drown if it falls into an empty pool it can injure itself break bones ect the pool needs to be fenced and the baby needs to be supervised at all times when a pool is near

In Australia it is illegal to have a pool that doesn't have a fence in it. Water or not water, unsupervised children shouldn't be anywhere near a pool alone.

I think they are both dangerious and no matter how you look at it. A well fenced pool with proper adult supervision is the only way you should have a pool!

The pool should be properly covered so there is no chance of anyone falling in it to begin with.

They are both very dangerous and that is why you can never take your eyes of of children. A fence around it helps too.

Babys tend to survive falls that would kill an adult, but almost always drown.
Still no guarantees.
