If you haven't you should try Skin Firming Moisturizer Q10 Plus by Nivea. I have issues with both red and white stretch marks and use this product after my shower every day and sometimes in the evening before bed. I have noticed a difference with them being less noticeable, after a couple weeks of use. There is no over the counter product to get rid of them but you can diminish their appearance. I have also heard that over years they will fade.

I just had a baby and i had stretch marks galore on mt tummy. I had a c-section so I started using Mederma for scars. So I was reading the back of the tube and it says you can use it on stretch marks. So I started using it (you have to put it on at least twice a day) and after about 3 weeks, my stretch marks are HALF what they were. Your supposed to get full results after 6 weeks or so, and it's really working for me. You should try it.
Also, Retin A prescribed by a doctor or dermatologist will take them away as long as they they are still the reddish pink color, not white. Little known secret I saw on the Tyra Banks Show last week.

If your red marks are still bright red in color and new you can reduce the scarring by vitamin E. However, chances are are that even applying vitamin E will not help much. A lot depends on genetics, if your mother had stretch marks that faded chances are yours will too. I had stretch marks on my breasts from puberty and they have pretty much faded and not very noticeable. In terms of procedure I know that some women after a great deal of weight loss will opt to remove loose skin, in which case the skin with the stretch marks will be cut off. That is something I would not suggest unless absolutely necessary because the procedure itself can cause scarring.

stretch marks are scar tissue, and once scarred, you're pretty much scarred for life.
However, I had surgery when I was 13 and the doctor told me that the sun will help fade my scars. It worked. I had my son on June 5th of this year and I've spent 3 days out on the sun sans sunscreen and my stretch marks have started to fade already.
Except for creams made especially for scars, everything else like the cocoa butter would have helped to prevent them but will not take them away.
They do go down to being normal flesh coloured, shrink and become barely noticeable. Beyond that, you'd be looking into cosmetic procedures.

Stretch marks are permanent. They occur when one's collagen and elastin (protein that gives the skin strength and elasticity) are weak. The skin is stretched to a point where the small blood vessels show through giving a purple or reddish color to the stretched part, once these blood vessels contract the color fades to white which is essentially the fatty layer under the skin showing through
No cream, liquid or injectables have been proven to treat stretch marks. What most treatments do is simply whiten the skin to match the stretch mark's hue.
Laser operation may help if done during the early stages
Cosmetic operation is the current solution. Abdominoplasty or "tummy tuck" to solve those loose belly fat problems.

SOrry honey you can't rid of them. You can maybe reduce the appearance of them, but stretch marks are from the skin stretching on the inside. Talk to your doctor about ways to help reduce the appearance. try not to be so self conscious about them, no one is perfect.

I'm sorry to say but they do not go away! But with time they will fade. Vit E is good for your skin but nothing on the market can reduce or get rid of them! I have a few from when I was preg 4yrs a go and you can hardly see mine. I mean you have to be a few inches away from my body to see them. It depends on how bad they are really. Good luck!

Different things work for different people, I find a combo of aloe, vitamin E and coco butter is working best for me, but the best thing you can do to help your skin bounce back is stay healthy and drink plenty of water! do not listen to people who say they dont go away, it may be a slow process, but six months later I've lost more then half mine, and my whole stomach was almost nothing but one giant stretch march because my baby got HUGE in the last month!

Don't know the names, but there are products specifically formulated to remove/reduce stretch marks. Ask your pharmacist for the name of the over-the-counter preparation.
