I once saw a man and a woman get into a screaming contest in a McDonald's drive in. The woman got out of the car, and then, after more screaming, the man drove off, tires screeching. Maybe it's just McDonald's.
I think lots of people have trouble dealing with anger. Some people keep it all in. Some of these occasionally snap. Some people are angry all the time and take it out on friends and family, with or without screaming fits. The whole passive-aggressive thing.
A lot of adults just do petty, mean-spirited things when they get angry, when they have a "bad day."
Maybe the nutty, honking woman is just acting out. Maybe she just had low blood sugar. On the other hand she might be suffering from serious mental illness. In either case, the safest course is to just give such people some space.
Good Luck.

When I worked at Shaw's supermarket, some guy was flipping out about the price of an onion, a difference of only about 20 cents. The cashier was new, and I was like "don't worry about him, he yells at everybody every time he comes here about the same thing," and he started screaming~ The manager came over & the guy's waving the onion around & like, "she said I yell @ everybody!" He's literally screaming in my managers face.

A total BF. OMG I went to the hairdresser and this woman took a fit. Screamed at the stylist and threw the scissors at her. The lady's hairstyle was so pretty. I don't think she had the money to pay. I left after the cops were called

Ha. She must've been in a real hurry.
On a sad note, once a co-worker who was riding home in the same van with the casino manager and me. told him to stop lolly gagging and doing last minute stuff, and just get into the dang van already. Said her boyfriend would beat the crap out of her if she was late getting home.
Can you imagine telling the boss that?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I would have laughed so much.
Some people just have no patience or respect for other people. She probably saw the line not moving as a personal attack, she was obviously very self centred.
Whereas you probably thought, hey they must be pretty busy in there.
The worst is when a line like that takes a while and the guy or girl serving cops it. It generally is not their fault.

My grandmother and my mom were fighting before about something stupid.
I think my grandma lost the arguement. She started squealing like a crazy little kid and then kicked the chair and broke it blaming me for it later. She then curled in a corner and cried.
But I guess all people have to go insane some point in their life.

Yeah my mom is very mature and she's a good adult but she throws them all the time. I hate that because I hate seeing her sad. She's been through a lot and seeing her sad causes me pain. If she wants something thats really expensive she throws one with my dad because he's cheap and usually doesn't like to spend lots of money. If she wants the house cleaned she throws one...Its weird but I deal with it! =D I guess its hormones.

Once you reach a certain age, I think it's like 9 or 10, the name changes from "temper tantrum" to "pitchin' a *****"..

Yes, I work at a salon and one of my co workers client threw a big one. She stomped her feet and started crying and she actually called her mom on the cell phone. She has to be in her thirties. It was all because she couldn't get in that day because my co worker was booked. Sheesh!

Yes. I had a screaming kicking fit yesterday and ended up in the ER with a sprained foot. That'll teach me.
