AliCat is right on. There is good rock, hard and soft. Country, the oldies, ballads and a little metal. There is alot of good music out there, even from the big band era. But rap I can barely consider as music. Other than some Eminem and some old Tone Loc, rap is no better than a boy band.

I like lots of different kinds of music.
In the classical area I like Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Liszt and the other great composers.
But I also like some Rock, mostly 1960's and 1970's, but a lot of later stuff as well. (1950's rock was from my era growing up, but I don't like it as much as I like later variants.)
Some Country music is pretty good, and there is some I can't stand. Most of the crossover Country to Rock is pretty good.
I also like Rhythm and Blues and Gospel.
I don't like Rap, extremely nasal or life-is-crappy Country or really sappy love songs.
There's a lot more I like than that I don't like.

anything and everything. My music collection is pretty wide spread. I love rock/alternative. I got my old school too...new school. I love R&B. Blues, Hip-Hop/Rap, Jazz...whatever. Oh, and I gotta have my New Jack Swing too. Loving Keith Sweat at the moment. Could range from Queen to Usher to Michael Jackson to Nirvana. So I guess that pretty much sums it up. lol

I like most music except for rap and hard core heavy metal. I especially love soft rock, classic rock, country, and the 80's though!

I listen to all sorts of music from rock to pop to classical, but for me, nothing can top Jason Mraz. He crosses over all sorts of genres and sounds great doing it.

I like alot of everything. It's one of the most powerful, but underrated gifts ever passed onto mankind. it can start a WAR or bring about peaceful endurance. It can be used as a driving force or for that of meditation. Priceless.
