I am in the mood to read but I have a tough time reading if I am not into the story. I loved The Bleachers by John Grisham, so I was wanting to see what suggestions anyone had along that line or anything with sports involved.

I have some non-fiction to recommend:
"Life on the Run," by Bill Bradley, has recently been reissued. Bradley (huge college star at Princeton, Rhodes Scholar, NBA player-coach at 28, star on the NBA champion Knicks, and U.S. Senator) discusses his experiences as an NBA player.
Another fine memoir by an NBA player of great insight is "Second Wind," by Bill Russell.

Hi Nate. You might also enjoy "The Painted House" by Grisham. It is a more powerful story than Bleachers and very well written (you will feel the people's lives like they are your own and the suspense will keep you turning the pages).

Best wishes.

If you're between 12 and 18 and into video games and best friends stories I think you might like my novel GAMEPLAYER: The Genesis Portal.
GAMEPLAYER follows the adventures of Nine-dog, Gator and Louie; three racially diverse buddies growing up in the skateboarding, video gaming obsessed Santa Monica, California beach life-style.
Their lives revolve around school, skateboarding and video gaming until a bizarre encounter with a run amok video game propels them into a deadly world of terror, murder and intrigue.
It's available at the normal online sites like amazon, B&N, Borders, etc. and as an e-book on mobipocket.com.
You can check it out further and read the prologue on my site www.myspace.com/gameplayerbook.

Not meant as a commercial just a suggestion,
Gary Anderson

I just read a book titled The Blind Side by Michael Lewis, it's all about football, a very captivating, true story. It tells the story of Michael Oher, who's currently the left tackle at Ole Miss, and also talks about the history of football and the development of the passing game and the left tackle position... I loved it.
