geez, I imagine if you put in your search bar, or Google it, "Local", "World", your area etc. News, tons of websites would pop up....You could go to USA Today newspaper, New York Times, World news on ABC.com, CNN.com, BBC.com. I'd imagine the list would be endless. By news organizations or topics, there must be thousands.....good luck..

Try Yahoo News. Can get news from the AP, AFP, Bloomberg, Reuters, Congressional Quarterly, and Rasmussen Reports under their politics section. US National news section taps you into the AP, AFP, Reuters, and NPR. Their Top News section gives you the AP, AFP, US News and World Report, AFP Features, Reuters, CSMonitor, NPR, CNN.com, Pew Daily Number, and Reuters Features. Videos from CNN, the AP, ABC, BBC, etc. Can choose local news for various local newspapers. Search feature will give you lots of past news headlines that aren't in the main news sections anymore.

This link will catch you up on the events after 9/11:

I find BBC news very informative. Though, they are biased, they report every story with a lot of depth and they don't skip a detail.
