I have nothing against tears, they can be cathartic and healing, but things do seem to be getting way out of hand. I'd like to see some old-fashioned grace and dignity high-lighted for a change. It still lives, but with the pay-off going to those who can put on the biggest show of waterworks, I fear for the survival of old-fashioned values.
