i generally only use one. however i use two whenever i am cold and want to warm up .

Funny, I was never a coffee-drinker until the past couple of years --- I picked up the habit from my kids --- kind of funny. If I'm relaxing, I like to hold onto the cup with both hands and feel the warmth and inhale the aroma; very soothing.

Only one hand holds that 1st cup of coffee, because the other hand is holding my Pop-Tart.

I use my body as a shield to protect MY pot & use one hand to drink my coffee...I only use two hands as a strategic defense plan.
