I guess it is my belief that the young save the old. They maintain “Innocence” and a connection to the unknown. Without the “elders” they would fall, and make mistakes. In any event some do listen to the wisdom of the elders while others refuse to listen and find out the hard way. So it seems as if the old need the young more than the young need the old.

I say the old save us because we wouldn't learn the knowledge or wisdom to save them if it didn't come from some elder. Where would it come from if it didn't come from a adult. They teach you everything you know and they kinda make everything.

It goes both ways. The young reminds the old how it is to be young and remind them how hard it was, thus making the old have more empathy when dealing with the young. The od provided the young with wisdom and necessary guidance. Experience IS the best teacher

Let me use the word Elders instead of Old.

Elders just show the right way to young ones as their part is over and now it is the young ones who need to do their part and it saves both of them..

It goes both ways. The old provide wisdom & knowledge, the young provide care. Well, sometimes.
