depends...
are you high risk? if not then I'd think about 34-36 weeks along.

I'm high risk, and at 25wks. i won't be checked regularly till 27 wks, then i have to go in every other week for an exam and to monitor baby heart rate/and movement...ill also be getting ultra sounds every other week till i am ready to be induced.

ask your OB.

de bossy one:
dilation does not ALWAYS occur after the water breaks...good lord. if you don't have a uterus please be quiet.
i was dilated to a 5 before my water broke w/my first...i was at an 8 before they had to break my water FOR ME w/my second.....

where are you men getting this bologna?

In the last month, usually after week 36, when you are going to the doctor every week instead of every 2 weeks.

Congrats!

Most doctors check the last 2 weeks, possibly 4 weeks. They will usually check you if you're having lots of braxton hicks contractions or lower back pain, also.

Usually not untill around 36 weeks unless they see a need to check sooner.. like your cramping or contracting they will check sooner.

I got checked all the time. Maybe it was because my pregnancy was high risk and not only that but I had gone into preterm labor at school (med student). I wouldn't think they would start checking you until you start going weekly or biweekly.

Not until the last two weeks.

Most of the time they don't check.
Why would they check unless you're having contractions or any other problem? It's unnecessary
