There are lots of things on the market that will work, goo gone, WD-40 etc. I've also found that putting plain veg. oil on it, letting it set for several minutes, that it will come off easily with a wet cloth. Use whichever you prefer, but cooking oil is something you probably already have, therefore you won't have to spend money to buy something else. What works the best though is to use Gum Out that is used on car engines. It works so fast! Most people have this already in the garage.

Depending on what you are taking the stickers off of, you could try any kind of oil (vegetable oil works fine) or peanut butter. Then wipe it off with a little soapy water. If you try goof-off or goo-gone, make sure that it won't ruin the finish on what you're removing the sticker residue from. I wouldn't use either of those products on a finished wood surface, for example.

I moved into a house that the children had put stickers all over the bedroom doors.I used nail polish remover to get rid of the sticky that was left then cleaned it.Also did the same on my new windows where the sticky label had been.

The best trick of the trade is to use Eucalyptus Oil. Its cheap and all you need is a dry clean cloth. Dab the oil onto the cloth and give it a little elbow grease and it will all come off leaving a nice smell to! lol

Oh, dont use WD40 as someone else suggested as it leaves oil marks and has a terrible odour!. lol

If your're talking about labels on like a new appliance, a toaster maybe, use WD40, then warm it slightly. I said slightly. Should wipe off with a paper towel, then wash the grease off. Pulling a label off a jelly glass works the same. Warm that by filling it with hot water. When my dog got tangled up in masking tape, I had to take him to the vet to get some of it off. Guess what he did? butter and a hair dryer.

Don't you hate that? I don't know why retailers have to use such sticky stuff. I use 'Goo-Gone' - available at most hardware or variety stores. Just test on an inconspicuous spot of your item to make sure the Goo-Gone doesn't damage it. Rubbing alcohol can remove some sticky residue but also may cause some damage if the item is soft plastic.

I just read the other day in a magazine, that some women wrote, to spray hair spray, wait a few moments and then wipe with a clean cloth, after you get it off, the clean with hot sudsy water. Give it a try

Use Goof Off...seriously. You'll find it in the paint section of your hardware store. Similar products under other names. Just ask the sales person. Good for removing many difficult things.

Goo Gone!!!!! I swear by it! lol.... squirt a bit on each sticker spot and let it soak for a minute or two... then wipe it up with a scrubby sponge and hot water.

Works for me every time! It cleans EVERYTHING! Well... almost everything lol.

Put baby oil over the sticky area. It will loosen it up and you will be able to wipe it off. I think WD-40 works too.
