One can be 'affected' by hallucinations, which, although non-existant to others, create an affect upon the person who so perceives them, so that the thing can be both real (to the perceiver) and non-real (to the non-perceiver.)
For the most basic test of reality, it has to be perceived, and be able to be perceived, by an independent party. In other words, if you are the only perceiving and interacting with a purple bunny, then it's usually not real. However, if two or more people perceive and interact with a purple bunny, then it is usually real, although mass hallucinations are not uncommon either.
I just squashed a mosquito on my screen. Although no one was around to see me interact with such, if I see another mosquito, I can point to it and say that I squashed one just like it on such and such a date.
Try proving to someone you killed a dragon, cut up its body into really small pieces, and flushed it down the toilet.

It could be considered real, yes. It all depends how far are the implications for your mental stability and worldy development.
Some people get too deep on energy work, metaphysics or some fringe knowledge like that, and some get crazy, so it's better to prefer sanity than some deep knowledge in these areas.
It's difficult to draw a clear line between what is real and what is not, there are many events that seem to be at the boundary between real and unreal.

If you can interact with it then yes, it is real for you. It's always unsettling the first few times like something like this happens and I always advise people to have a chat with their doctor or a therapist to ensure that you're not becoming delusional, particularly if you have a history of that kind of thing. But this is very rare.
Most likely you are getting a glimpse into one of the 'tween' worlds. You're lucky. The majority of the population never get to experience something like this.

The mind fills in its voids with built teachings and memory. An apple for example is red in the light and yet red in the dark as well. We believe it is red but in dark it is unable to be viewed and we fill in the concept with pre existing ideas. Yes when you believe something it becomes real to that person.

The Webster definition of 'perceive' is : to become aware of through the senses.
Following that definition, then yes it is real.

For you, Yes.
What you believe is true ....for you.
If you consider this concept..... Your outer world is a mirror for your inner state of being......
What you see in your world is the best clue to knowing your inner state of being. And as we are all in a different state of being, it stands to reason, that we are not all aware of or notice the same things in our outer experience.
Or you might say..... who we are, creates what we experience.

I would think so, just because others can't see it, doesn't mean it isn't real.
