Urdu is the official language of Pakistan, and basically the same as Hindi, a major language in northern India, but written in Arabic script.

urdu is a trukish word which means an army.
many countries came to india bringing their languages and they all got mixed up to form a lanuages named urdu. arabic persian turkish were the major languages which combined to form urdu.
urdu is now the official language of pakistan and spoken in many parts of india too.

(note: hidni was diffrent than urdu. infact the modern hindi is 70% urdu written in hindi script)
