I was reading an article about ego based love and how it hurts us. It was saying that we are all connected and we in our minds create this illusionary divide and yearn to fill it with a specialness that causes hurt and heartbreak. I thought it interesting in saying that we go looking for something we already posses. I just wanted to ask a few people what is love to you?

Hurt is only accomplished when we personalize the actions of others.

Some people love me. Some people don't. I could care less which category anyone falls into. Why should I? That is their issue.

Love is merely an emotion that someone feels for me at a specific time. Expecting love to be an everlasting state is highly illogical and very immature.

The Will is positive, the Judgement is negative. I assure you, that divide is quite real. The healthy ego owns the totality of its spiritual possibility, the Will and the Judgement in their integral wholeness. Self reflection or self consciousness is real time life lived in real time, i.e. there is no confusing the real thing for its symbol, like a dream that has us in its deception.

I do my thing and you do your thing.
I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,
And you are not in this world to live up to mine.
You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.
If not, it can't be helped.
(Fritz Perls, 1969)

There is no such thing as pure love, unconditional love. It is all ego-based love with only degrees of how much we sublimate our own desires and individual needs in the pursuit of another.

Love to me is commitment and compromise and woking for the good of "us" as a whole. It takes hard work at times and is not something magical that happens "at first sight" or falls to my lap, and it is not emotional to me, because emotions can easily change. But after the hard work, it can be very rewarding.

love is the attraction and desire to be with one another. i personally think that people have ruined the emotion known as love with all of their "traps"....u know.. the love game..

true love is ideal but unrealistic, im afraid theres isnt a single way to find true love nor is there a way to prove it its like trying to achieve prefection

on a personal note, destiny and the whole "we were made for each other" is one of the worse line that ever existed ..for all the girls out there, if you hear your boyfriend say this...break up with him...who is he to decide who you belong with?
